BORN FROM THE STORM

Hurricane Michael hit the Florida Panhandle on October 10, 2018 as a category 5 storm. The damage to the area was devastating and many people were affected. Both my husband and I were out of work for a period, like so many others, while we tried to help our community recover. During this time we decided to play with an old salsa recipe and "make it our own." We gave the salsa away to friends and people helping out in the area. It was well received and became so popular in the months to follow, we decided to brand our product. This is when Cat 5 Salsa was born.

Fantastic Salsa!!

Salsa that doesn’t disappoint!

I have repeatedly been let down by salsa that I thought “looked good” only to discover it tastes like every other salsa out there. No wow factor. I ordered Cat 5 on a whim and let me tell you as soon as I opened the jar the smell was a fresh tomatoes filled my nose and then the taste matched the smell!!! So fresh and unlike any other jarred salsa I have ever tried! I’m already hooked and it’s only been 3 hours since it hit my lips! Can’t wait to try the Mango Salsa!!!!

Best Salsa

I don’t normally do reviews but after tasting the Cat5 Mango Salsa I had to comment on how delicious this was. Cannot say enough for the taste. Best salsa I have ever had.

Beat salsa I’ve ever had

First ever fish tacos. With Spanish mackerel we caught off shore. with Cat 5 salsa and it was the absolute best salsa I’ve ever had along with some delicious fish. 10/10 beat salsa ever. I hate salontro it tastes like soap. And this had no salabtro to worry about.

Had my first fish tacos with Spanish Mackerel that I caught offshore of Panama City. Super super good. Used Cat5 mango over the fish. Best taco i ever munched!

Love a great origin story!

The salsa is amazing! Both the Mild and Medium ones are super tasty, but I’ve got to say, the Mango is definitely my favorite. The awesome family behind this brand and their cool story about whipping up the recipe after Hurricane Michael hit is the best origin story ever!
